Water at the new wards

Water at last!

All is set. It is just a matter of when Comfort Clinics will be made a community hospital. On Thursday 30 August the 5000 litre water tank became functional.

The tank, according to Mr. Laison Nsamala, head of plumbing section of Andiamo, will supply water only to the new wards, which have a bed capacity of 35 patients.

Comfort clinics fall under the pillar of “Health and Sanitation” of Andiamo Youth Cooperative Trust (AYCT).

Comfort Clinics opened its doors on 21 May 1997 and has three functional departments namely: Out Patient Department (OPD); Dental Department; and the Maternity Department.

Currently, AYCT is just waiting when Comfort Clinics will be called a Community Hospital having added well-furnished Paediatric Ward with a capacity of 18 beds and a Male and Female wards.

Last year alone, the outpatient department of Comfort Clinics served about thirty thousand (30,000) patients.
