A.E.I student athletes have competed for regional and national athletic championships lately and were out at the nose of triumph. Better is not better enough but best is.
On Saturday, 28th September, sports patrons; Mr. A. Marchetti, Mr. J. Bwezani and Mr. D. Phiri led to the recruitment of A.E.I athletics team called “wings of hope” through 100m, 200m, 400m, 1500m sprinting races that took place at Andiamo’s ground. The name after the club wings of hope has been adopted from an old club that faded out with time.
At the function present was Don cesare who dressed the team with sports suites that were donated by Alta Valle Brembana in Italy.
The team readily presents members who will be up for regular training during sports time.
“We have all reasons to hope this is going to be the best team ever”, envisions Mr. Bwezani.
The team comprises of the following; Issa Elias, Ian thole, Gift Chikuse, Jackomino Murowa, Caphus Kasten, Eric James, Ishmael malemia, Atusaye Munde, Enles Aufi, Modester Matias, Ruth Chiwaula, Triphonia Khama, Catherine Makaika and Hilda Kawenda.
