First General Assembly for Tiyende Pamodzi Association: an historical step for Andiamo


The General Assembly of the new Association "Tiyende Pamodzi" met on monday 24 May 2010 in Andiamo for the first time.
The Agenda was previewing the reading of the Constitution by the lawyer Mr.Mzondi Chirambo and the Appointment of the secretary and the Board of Trustees.
Tiyende Pamodzi has been officially constituted and it is actually, in joint venture with the Association Andiamo Malawi (Italy), the engine that locally directs, coordinates and supervises the implementation of Andiamo Youth Cooperative with the goal expressed in the Constitution of operate exclusively for charitable, educational and public health literary purposes.

"For everybody was like a new beginning out of a long fruitful journey towards a future full of self responsibility" said Father Mario Pacifici who also renewed the vision of the cooperative:
Andiamo Youth Cooperative Trust having strongly in mind that “the person fully alive is the glory of God”(St. Irenaeus), lives its mission for the good of the whole community: children, adults and old people should have a respectable human life.
Jesus himself said:
“I’ have come that they may have life and have it to the full”
(John 10,10).
Following this words AYCT engages itself in the areas of education, health, social development and culture-sports,
in collaboration with the local community, the government and other national and international associations in order to create opportunities of a better life for all, specially the youth and the less privileged.
Professor Agrey Ambali, Responsible for Technical and Science Department for the African Continent, just Member of Nepad and historically very near to the Andiamo cause, delivered his speech saying " I've been looking to Andiamo from a long time, it is a great opportunity for everybody to have a better life, especially for the families, youth and under privileged".
Mr. Chirambo also add "out of my experience of being a member of Rotary Club, i have come to know about Andiamo, and i have discovered a great sound solidariety".
The Director Andrew Galeta who was alsoappointed as Secretary of the Association accepted the challenge of the new team saying "i'm very happy that Andiamo reached this stage and this opportunity is a great challenge for everybody of us.
It was an historical step for Andiamo Youth Cooperative Trust who was founded in 1977 with the Alleluya Band Group and 12 local families.
