A jack of all trades indeed is a master of none true is the adage
which can fit one of
The veteran musician Charles Sinetre who is vying for a position
of Member of Parliament for Balaka central.
The musician now cum politician who hails from Balaka district says
he has decided to join politics for the mere purpose of serving
people befitting he is a potential candidate
And will make it to the August House if the people need him.
“I
ventured into serious politics in January and I will stand for a
DPP ticket and my presence in the honourable house will depend on
whether the people will vote for me
In this coming general election, he says while taking a deep breath
before answering
As if getting himself ready for the battle.
The
musician who cherishes to promote the youth and development in the
area had no reason to keep words inside his throat, but to bring
them out of obscurity so that people can see what he has installed
for them.
“I
am not making a lot of promises, but I promise to deliver what the
people want in my area like scarcity of water but also youth development”
“I was born here, I grew up here and I am still here (in Balaka)
so I know what the people in this area want and support the government
in its efforts, it wants to achieve.” He adds.
The
artist not only did he lambasted his wish in contesting as a Member
of Parliament but also had some kind words on the country love urging
people to work hard in their
Activities at their best, he glitters with the spirit of patriotism.
The
musician behind the popular tracks of Chidiso Mtolomo and Saulo
who has been out of music because he was in the United Kingdom (UK),
Thames Valley University (TVU) studying music courtesy of friends
in Italy, the program which run for three years where he rejoices
to have a certificate in it.
When
asked to clearly state what packet he has brought from the long
time school program and the kind of skills acquired the artist had
this to say.
“I have learnt a lot of things,” he says citing both
the theory and practical part. “To all my fans I can’t
promise a lot because I have several things to do, so that will
depend on the plans but I will release an album later,” He
says.
The Alleluya band member says he shares his experience with friends
and began to setup a school called Andiamo Music School Where he
is also the Principal with the gist of helping people especially
the youth with some music tactics the program which is running in
pile phases but has not been officially opened as according to him.
Whether
there has been an improvement of music in the country he said.
“We have not seen what we compare with music; later on we
will see what others have done it, so let’s appreciate what
we have.” He concludes.
