Christmas Greetings from
the Founding Trustee
Fr. Mario Pacifici
Greetings
brothers and sisters in the name of our Lord, Jesus Christ!
A
few days from today, we are going to celebrate the birth of our
Lord, Jesus Christ. And after the Christmas festivities, we shall
all be gearing to enter another year, 2009; a year that we expect
to live the prospects not as different as the way we have witnessed
the ones in 2008. Thus, joy, sorrow, misunderstandings, forgiveness,
are all usual happenings among people who are working together as
a collective entity.
Celebrating
Christmas and the New Year should not only be limited to eating,
drinking, and doing all sorts of things for self gratification.
Instead, the festivities should be a milestone for achieving the
best in one’s life.
As
we near the end of the year, it is important to make stock of our
lives and see where we have gone astray and need improvement. It
is that time when we need to have personal resolutions for next
year. Significantly, it is that time we need to forgive and forget
the wrongs our neighbours have committed against us. It is that
time of reconciliation!
This
year, we have had a number of activities. Different projects have
taken shape and several others are soon going to be completed. We
received numerous volunteers who helped in various projects, monetarily
and technically. For this, we thank our friends from Italy and wherever
who show the spirit of goodwill. Significantly, we have had changes
in the executive team of Andiamo Trust, hoping to bring maximum
productivity in all sections at Andiamo youth Cooperative Trust.
Lastly,
I wish to encourage each one of us to work very hard in their respective
sections in order to achieve maximum production. We have started
receiving rains and we hope God is going to bless us and give us
abundant rains. With the subsidized fertilizer the project of ‘Get
up Stand up’ distributed to the many of us, we hope to yield
much harvest.
Merry
Christmas and Happy New Year!
Padre
