Alleluya
Band finally has arrived back home safely after the Euro 2007 tour.
They stayed in Italy for a month and a half.
While
there, the Band entertained the Euro land with their cultural and
traditional songs and dances from all quoters. They did 33 shows
starting from the central part, Rome to be specific, then going
through the other regions all the way to Rosignano in the North
East where the very last show was performed.
The
Band was joined by the Reggae Ambassodar who is currently towards
the end of his studies in London.
Performance
was not the only activityy planned for the trip, the band did other
very important things such as prayers, making and strengthening
their friendship and relationship with the euro people. Eveyday
before everything prayers were done.
The members went to the grave yard of Late Andrea Pacifici and Late
Alessandro Assolari (the departed Bishop of Mangochi Diocese) and
prayed. The Band members also met the Pope on 27th June 2007
One other important thing that the Band leader reported onto our
desk was that they were happy to watch and perform with the land's
top bands. This really showed the best example of togetherness, with
this gesture, alleluya band felt honoured, humbled, encouraged and
ofcourse learnt. The band leader recites the performace with ILUF
and the Band led by Marko Marpelli (Mr SAX). The most fascinating
thing was that most members of the Band are blacks.
Alleluya Band went to Italy under the Theme: Malawi The Warm Heart
of Africa: and went with a CD GRAZIE which meansTHANK YOU in English
and ZIKOMO in Chichewa
On
this trip, Italian communities were dazzled with the antics displayed
by the three girls who accompaned the band. The Band perfomed with
girls last in the Euro 2000.
On
this year's Euro trip the Band is blessed by their very debut DVD
which has 8 tracks of which 4 are live performances.
