NEW EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR CONFIRMED

Thursday 4th October proved a different day in the history of Andiamo Trust when Lucious Kanyumba stepped down as the Executive Director of the most respected and recognised youth organisation in this region of Africa.
Fr. Mario (Founding trustee)who was chairing the meeting, read the resignation letter of Mr. Lucious Kanyumba to the members of the executive committee of Andiamo who were present and two Italian Volunteers representing the donor community and all volunteers. Thereafter, the founding trustee read the accepting letter of resignation and handed it to Lucious. The letter carried thanks giving to Lucious for all the activities he has done for Andiamo trust.

In his speech the out-going Director thanked the founding trustees for the support they have been rendering to him during his tenure of office and the executive committee for the better working partnership that made his work much simpler. Lucious promised to work with Andiamo in whatever way he could as he is a true son of this community.
"the world is like a rose, you sniff and pass it to others" this is one of the many proverbs Lucious said. He said this to confirm passing the Executive Directorship to Andrew Galeta.

The New Director Andrew had this to say "I am very happy to receive this new position. I have fears too. I thank God for everything and I give Him all my work for assistance." "I have nothing to promise but work with everybody to the fullest with assistance from all the executive members to continue from where my predesessor has left".

Lucious has worked with andiamo since 1996 and was elected executive Director for Andiamo in 2001.He is currently studying for his PHD after obtaining his Masters in 2002 at the University of Malawi.
