Today’s technology can not be compared to that of two decades ago. Nowadays there are many sophisticated means on how people can communicate of which some can not be obtained on a silver platter and requires one to learn in class while other can be learnt manually.

As technology is advancing each and every day, many youth are now geared at studying and mastering Information Technology (I.T) courses. Only students can do nothing on their own, but with enough and adequate resources, they can realize their dreams without facing much external forces. Malawi as a whole has got many institutions that provide Information Technology courses. Although such is the case, it could also be learnt that many (some) of these institutions have insufficient teaching and learning equipments in the likes of computers, internet services among other resources.

One could easily surprise sometimes to find many students clinging on to the institutions that are not far from nothing. But as we can understand them better, we can see that, this happens due to a number of factors. Some of the students just go for school because its popular and many institutions go for money rather than offering what they are intended to among other factors.

Balaka as a district has got also many I.T institutions with Andiamo Technological Pole as one of such institutions featured with modern facilities. It has got internet facilities, two computer laboratories and one hardware room. It offers courses like I.T users, System support, Computer Networking just to mention a few. So far, it has educated more that two thousand students since the year 2000 when it came into existence. Although it is one of the most reliable institutions, it is lacking some equipment like teachers computers (portable ones to mobilize their work), stabilizer among other small materials.
