The project is characterizes as a participation support to the Ministry of Health that wants help in the qualification of a particular para-sanitary field. Specifically the project wants act on dental technicians segment -dental prosthesis realization- activating some mechanisms that starting from structures’ realization passes through training to population service. The project system is based on different parts as the school/laboratory, the training and the inter-institutional coordination.

The strategic points of the action are therefore:

-School/laboratory realization.
-Creation of a permanent training point dedicated to dental technicians.
-Improve the qualitative level of dental prosthesis realization.
-The inter-institutional coordination.
-Realization of education campaigns addressed to primary schools’ children and mothers.

Training in the country is itself preferable to training in artificial condition abroad. The establishment of a permanent raining centre for dental technicians is an important aspect of human resources development. Training abroad should be considered only for highly qualified staff and, even then, only if local facilities are inadequate or do not exist. Within the country, training should take place under conditions as close as possible to those in which the person(s) will serve. It should be task-oriented and include the use and maintenance of the equipment. Supervision and opportunity for continuing education are essential.

ACTIVITY
-Build a new ward for population service and students training.
-Provide and set up machinery, material and didactical aids to the structure.
-Realise the service to the population.
-Realise a survey about human resources with a selection for the operator to be trained.
-Organise the training cycle.
-Hand books realisation; editing, printing and diffusion to student.
-First radio campaign. Realisation and diffusion of a radio spot about preventive procedure direct to youth transmit 100 times.
-Realisations of an educational/uplifting campaign direct to primary schools.
-Second radio campaign. Realisation and diffusion of a radio spot about preventive procedure direct to woman transmit 100 times.
-Meetings in order to set up a co-ordination technical table composed by local dental specialist and ANDIAMO CAMPUS in order to manage the intervention.
