Rotary
Club meets Comfort Clinics Administrators
On
Sunday of 10th August, 2008, the Rotary Club representatives of
Malawi came for discussions at Comfort Clinics. Currently, the club
is base in Blantyre.
The
main aim behind the meeting was to discuss the hand over of the
medicine donation from Rotary–in Rome, Italy. The Rotary–Rome
has donated malarial drugs to Comfort Clinics through Rotary club
of Malawi. But due to storage equipments, the drugs are stored at
Balaka District Hospital. This has also been done in order to share
the drugs with other hospitals around Balaka. The drugs are free
of charge to all the patients affected by malaria. The drugs are
said to be “Second Line” meaning to say, the drugs will
act as an alternative to currently malarial drug, La.
After the meeting, the president of Rotary club together with other
delegates went to pay a visit at Comfort Maternity. They were really
impressed with the equipments and the good environment that the
maternity has. They also promised to work hand in hand with the
Comfort Clinics in any circumstance.
