The donation of food items that was offloaded and stored in safe place yesterday has been unpacked today, 20th December 2008. The donation was emptied in presence of all Andiamo Youth Cooperative Trust members who gathered in a new hall for a farewell function that was honoured by don Paulo Pacifici. The food items consist of pack (a bag) that contains a 750ml of cooking oil, a 1kg packet of iodized salt, a 2kg packet of beans, and a 1kg packet of sugar. Thus, a multitude of about 480 Andiamo employees are going to benefit from this. According to one gogo (a beneficiary) who received her package in demonstration, the donation that the CMB have made is going to help the peoples of Balaka who are currently languishing with hunger and acute food dearth. She, together with other people who spoke on food donation, have greatly encouraged CMB to continue saving the lives of the underprivileged people who are being helped through Andiamo Youth Cooperative Trust.
