Indeed bambo Andrea Pacifici, the late brother to padre Mario is not alone, he is certainly a chorister in the angels’ choir in heaven! Wednesday, 5th November 2008, was a remarkable day in the history of Andiamo. A memorial site for the departed volunteers and the local torch bearers for Andiamo was established. The site has a big picture that portrays bambo Andrea surrounded by equipment that tell symbolic stories for Andiamo’s success. The tools in illustration, thus, helped to build Andiamo as well as the lustrous St. Louis Montfort Parish. On the other side of the church is a space that was purposely left blank. The aim for leaving the space void is to invite us to fill in with what bambo Andrea started for us since God called him before he had fulfilled his dreams. What are we going to paint on that empty space? The task of putting pictures on that vacant space is not mere drawing. The picture to occupy the left space means our fruits that should emanate from Andrea’s vision. As a collective entity, we at Andiamo should harmoniously complete the portrait by doing what is best for Andiamo’s success. After interpreting the portrait, padre Mario thanked volunteers who supported bambo Andrea in building Andiamo as well as in establishing various developmental projects. Some of the volunteers, together with fellow Malawian torch bearers, were called by the Lord and their names are listed down below. The following was the extract of the day: ANDREA, “Muyambitsi ndi mtsogoleri wamkulu wa mavolontiya onse pa ntchito ndi zitukuko zonse za Andiamo komanso nyumba yayikulu ya mapemphero ya St. Louis Montfort Parish.” In English, the extract commends bambo Andrea for being the initiator as well as the leader for all the volunteers in all development works, especially for building Andiamo Youth Cooperative Trust as well as St. Louis Catholic Parish.
