Andiamo
Campus is located in Balaka District, in the southern region of
Malawi. This youth Co-operative started in 1978, as a brain child
of an Italian Priest, Father Mario Pacifici, supported by Montfort
Missionaries and Father Don Cesare Castelli.
Its primary goal is to train malawian youths in various skills
that would empower them to develope their lives and the Nation.
Based on the Costitution of the registered
trustees of Andiamo Youth Cooperative Trust:
OBJECTIVES
AND AIMS
- The objectives of the trust shall be to develop a sense of responsibility
and honesty in its members and employees for the welfare of their
families and the whole community.
- To arouse interest in the development of the community and in
self help programmes.
- To develop a sense of self-reliance in its members and employees.
- To promote the economic independence of its members and employees.
- To increase employment opportunities in the community.
- To educate its members and employees in the importance of budgeting,
saving and financial control of ANDIAMO money and of their salaries.
- To impart life skills to the youth through the provision of
training.
- To undertake such other activities as the Board may deem necessary.
