Band The First of All
The
allelya Band is the first department in the history of Andiamo Youth
Cooperative.
It
started at the then St. Bernadette Parish now the Giant St.Louis
Montfort Parish in the year 1978 as a dream to one Fr. Mario Pacifici.
The band now boasts of creating the balaka sound which is popular
among the local patronage being staged by Coss Chiwalo aka Lion
of stage, Charles Sinetre aka "Reggae ambassodor", Paul
Subiri&Rod Valamanja of the amanyada fame and regulary played
on both local radios and television station after training big names
in Malawian music like the soldier Lucious Banda who has formed
his own band so called Zembani. Its not only Lucious but we also
don't forget the most well known unshaken artist who is non other
than Paul Banda who is a brother to Lucious.
