Andiamo Trust Receives CMB Personnel

In the wake of lucrative development projects taking place at Andiamo, three volunteers from Italy visited Andiamo campus in the quest to boost development projects. The volunteers who all work for Cooperativa Muratori e Braccianti di Carpi came into the country on Wednesday, 1st October 2008 and walked around Andiamo campus the following day in order to see projects the cooperative is currently involved in.

The group comprised of Mr. Fabio Cambiaghi, a Marketing Developer of CMB, Mr. Pierpaolo Calvi, a Project Manager, and Mr. Pasquale Di Pirro, a Services, Work safety and Logistics coordinator. Among them was a translator, Mr. Marco Tognetti, a Development Economist working with LAMA Development and Cooperation Agency.

During their visit, Mr Calvi stated that they saw structures built by Andiamo and activities that take place at the campus. They were impressed with the clinic, workshops, and the general environment outside Andiamo campus.

Their main purpose for coming to Andiamo was to build cooperation with Andiamo Youth Cooperative Trust thereby introducing development projects that could benefit the people around. By coming to Andiamo, the three volunteers wanted to understand the place and needs of the people of Andiamo, to improve the situation and create better life opportunities, and to enhance dignity in life therough the work and human solidarity.

Lastly, the volunteers were impressed with the great will of the people to work and improve the cooperative and realized that Andiamo is a great base for self sustainable development.
