It is rather horrifying to note the World Water Day Fact that “About 783 million people do not have access to clean water and almost 2.5 billion do not have access to adequate sanitation” (The Nation World water day 2013 supplement, 22 March 2013).

At Andiamo we thank the volunteers from Italy who have assisted us with sanitation facilities and in the construction of boreholes within the campus and the surrounding areas. Through their kind support, they have saved us from water borne infectious diseases that occur due to untreated water.
